Big3 Communications was founded in 2014 as Big3 Films. We were movie fanatics, just out of college in Tampa, FL. We watched everything from classics to cult favorites, across every genre. Through this exploration, we developed a unique taste and a passion for gripping stories. It wasn't long before we teamed up to create our own content, starting with horror shorts, event coverage, and small business videos. We were self-taught, just trying to make each project a little better than the one before it.

Along the way, we realized that video is even more powerful when it's supplemented by a strong online presence, so we rebranded as Big3 Media and expanded our services. We told stories through social media content and helped organizations control their story by managing online reviews. We learned that good writing is the core of persuasive marketing, so we honed our copywriting and copyediting skills, making a difference for dozens of brands.

Today, we've gone back to our roots, focusing on the things that ignited our passion in the first place: story-driven writing and moving pictures. We've rebranded again as Big3 Communications because it's not just about creating media content: it's about starting a conversation.

Joni is the founder and operator of Big3 Communications. She recommends and plans communications campaigns for our clients, then kicks into content creation mode, providing the copywriting, video production, and digital design services necessary to make our shared vision a reality.

Joni helps clients find their voice and ensures that brand messaging maintains that voice across all media. She's a stickler for presentation and design details, ensuring that her clients’ communications meet best practices and the highest standards of quality.

Joni is a native of Dade City, FL, a small town on the outskirts of the Tampa Bay area. As a kid, she learned that words have the power to bring imagination to life and help others understand her point of view. As a grown-up, she gained a passion for marketing—the practice of sharing the unique stories that every organization has to tell.

Joni received her BS in Business Administration from Florida College in 2013 and her MA in Mass Communication from the University of South Florida in 2016 with a special focus in Strategic Communication. Interested in a wide range of fields, she wants to spread her passions far and wide through writing and film.
